I’m not sure if anyone actually reads/posts to these threads anymore but I figured I’d give it a shot.

My family is in the process of relocating from the Triangle to Wilmington and looking for recommendations on family friendly neighborhoods with good schools in Wilmington. I have 2 kids (1yr and 3.5yrs) and would like to find a place where they can have plenty of playmates. Our budget is up to $750k, but I would mind spending less than the max. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The area east of College Road, south of Oleander and north of Piner Road contains lots of nice, family friendly neighborhoods, especially around Airlie Gardens and Bradley Creek and off Masonboro Loop Road. Also the area around Cape Fear Country Club, Forest Hills is a very nice neighborhood, but may be older and the schools aren't as good. The Bellamy and Parsley and Wrightsville Beach Elementary schools are very good, so look in those districts. But, really, get a good realtor to help. Thats what they're for.

WB elementary will be redistricted in 3 years to prob only take kids that live ON the island. You have young kids so anywhere you look ask about redistricting and where your kids could potentially go.
