Fried Herring 2018 (Greenville, Jamesville, Conetoe: kitchen, BBQ, community)

My old go-to for great fried Herring was Blackbeards BBQ & C-Food in Conetoe. Unfortunately they have closed. I'm not a big fan of Cypress Gill in Jamesville (great history, herring not so much).


Any suggestions?


Any sightings of church or community suppers that do fried herring right?

I saw on Facebook that Lee's Country Kitchen outside of Greenville is serving fried herring. Never had theirs though, so I don't know how it is.
