I'm sorry but I have to believe it will be quite higher than that considering Wilmington's position as one of the highest US cities for increasing rent. A one-bedroom at Barclay is $1200 and they've been there over a year.

They are getting closer to Charleston rates, only Charleston can actually justify the cost with a higher SOL.

I'm sorry you're confused. I think the developer knows how much the rents will be, and of course, if the market allows them to charge more, I'm sure they will. Thats how capitalism works.

"Some big names are headed to Wilmington’s Independence Mall.

Brookfield Properties is doing major renovations to the property and a spokeswoman confirms the grocery store Lidl will be a new tenant.

It will be joined by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Five Below, Ulta and several restaurants – Blaze Pizza, Jersey Mike’s, First Watch and Walk Ons."

What's the status of the new building that's supposed to house retail space at 200 Market Street? Has that been completed yet?

Pier 1 Imports has announced that they're gonna close up to 450 stores. Not sure if Wilmington's stores will be affected since no list has been given yet, but I thought I'd give a heads-up anyway, just in case.
