My husband will be relocating to Columbus County area the 1st of September.

My son and I will follow as soon as our house sells.

Does anyone have recommendations on where we can search for an efficiency or 1 bedroom apartment for a few months?

He will be able to look for a larger place for our family once he is settled into the area.

We are looking at Columbus, Brunswick, Robeson, or Bladen counties, and Loris is also a possibility.

Thank You for your help.

Near White Lake, try the Silver Sands Motel and Apartments, the Langston's Motel and Cottages, the White Lake Motel and Campground, Carolyn's Court Motel, and other motels and/or seasonal cottages. You can find them on Google Maps.

Leland will have some golf villas for rent. Pembroke might have student-type housing. Otherwise, I'd just try Craigslist.

There are also motels in Whiteville and Elizabethtown where you could get monthly rates. However, if you think it might take 6 to 9 months to sell your house in WV, it might be better to lease a house or apartment for a year. If you can move sooner, keep the rental until you find a new place to buy.
