I agree.

I'm not sure what is wrong with people renting a house during this extended period. As long as they are social distancing themselves and not getting together in large groups.

IMO, the beach communities are overreacting. Its ok if the owners all show up to the houses, but not renters. Travel is safe since it is by car. If everything is shut down and they dont like it, they can go home.

Hope the other beach communities in the US dont have the same attitude. Talk about having your cake and eat it to.

I agree with this. There's no difference between being at home is Winston-Salem and being in a beach house on the outer banks.

Something to think about if wanting the beach -- our hospital(s) are tiny and easily overwhelmed if numerous people need their services.

All our restaurants and bars and entertainment venues are closed. Can do pick-up and/or delivery at some eateries.

It might be boring for you here--and dangerous for you--and residents--if you become ill and need the hospital which may be overwhelmed with patients..

Something to think about...

Stay well---and stay safe...

Can't help but scorn those who insist NC coastal access is public even across privately owned property while maintaining that the same exact coastal access in Dare County is resident-only now. Hypocrites.

Sigh. Didn't you learn your lesson from your 3 day "vacation" from C-D?

Since when is telling the truth punishable by C-D? It is blatantly true that Dare County is blocking non-residents from entry while some are simultaneously claiming that OBX beach accesses across private property are publicly accessible for all.
