The cases reported are likely significantly higher this week than last since the testing mostly really just started last week. Not counting the I-95 corridor (Wilson, Robeson, Cumberland) Eastern NC has 26 positive tests so far. Brunswick is leading with 7, Carteret with 5. Most all are travel related and while the two UNCW students in NHC have somewhat gotten vilified for being on spring break when the outbreak happened, we know that Brunswick and Carteret are likely retired folks that were traveling and have since come home. And retired folks are worse off if they get it. Hopefully all have finally stopped their unnecessary traveling.
Of North Carolina's 10.6 million people, its usually stated that ENC is about 1 million of that. Using those numbers, currently .002% of people in ENC have tested positive. In NC as a whole we have over 300 now, which is also .002%. There have been no deaths so far which means there is a 0% death rate so far. I would expect the numbers to double or triple this week as tests come back in...if they triple, we will be looking at .007% in ENC and .008% in NC.
I am not insinuating anything by posting these numbers, just putting them into overall context.

Yup - we need to remember that this thing is already out there, all over the freaking place. Tons of people already have it, many with no symptoms at all. So the testing that is ramping up will certainly cause acceleration of the numbers.
None in Pender, Bladen, Columbus, Duplin, Jones, Lenoir, Greene, Beaufort, Pamlico, Edgecombe, Martin, Bertie, or any of the northeast NC except one in Pasquotank.
