Please do not move this to "Camping" forum, I feel I'll get better response here. We are looking to stay at a CG (Campground) while we visit to explore the area to rent / purchase. Nice and clean CG, not like what we experienced in a KOA in NY

The Holden Beach Campground looks nice with a lot of shade, but I have no direct experience. Www.hbrv.net

If you don't mind staying across the River in Wilmington for a few nights here or there, I believe there is one right before you cross the bridge to Carolina Beach. Also, there are available spots to rent inside of Carolina Beach State Park, which is pretty amazing. Lots of trails and great fishing too!
