Hi, we are closing on a house in Emerald Isle, today actually, wish I would have discovered this site months ago...have been reading like a mad woman over the past several weeks....so many questions have already been answered by this forum..but, still have a least another million..haha...I have read several posts about dogs on the beach, but, still am not clear about the rules in Emerald Isle particularly....of course, I know to clean up after them..but, what about rules of the beach in Emerald Isle, not sure if it is considered Southern Shores or Cape Lookout area rules.....also, I am a licensed massage therapist, and wondering about opportunities in the area for my business...and by the way, just what ARE the ten 'dangerous' dogs in Nc?...saw a couple of posts regarding that too...pretty sure mine won't make the list, but, just curious...ok...thats' a start...oceangypsey

I am not able to answer your questions, but if you google Emerald Isle it will bring up all the information you'll probably need. I have visted that site before.

As for being a massage therapist, you need to advertise HEAVILY, you are in a good area though.

Good Luck and Enjoy your new home!

You can check the official town site for the actual information.

You see dogs running free on the beach once in a while when the beaches are empty, but most people put them on leash immediately when they see another person.

You might find some other info of use in my Emerald Isle guide (http://coastalnc.org/emeraldislenctravelguidecd - broken link).
