Does Wilmington have a holistic community? If so how easy is it to find? I'm looking for good massage therapy, acupuncture, heathfood stores, etc.? Anyone know if Earth Fare will be opening up a location in the area?

Thanks for the help!

Earth Fare is a great store. I checked their website though and I saw they have several locations throughout NC, so I wouldn't be surprised if they add Wilmington to that list soon.

I'm not sure if Wellness Therapies (http://www.wellnesstherapies.net/) does acupuncture (I've never had that done in Wilmington), but I do know they offer a lot of homeopathy procedures.

As far as places like Earth Fare, from what I remember, there aren't many (no Trader Joes, no Whole Foods, etc.) but they do have a few things that are a little similar. 4th Street Herbs and Grocery (located downtown) is a good source for organic beauty products, some organic food, supplements/vitamins, etc. (Home Page) You also could try Loveys Market (Welcome to Lovey's Market) which has more of a selection than 4th Street Herbs and Grocery (in my opinion).

Yep, go to tidal creek and ask all your questions. Wilmington and this area has a pretty good representation of "fruit cake" thinking, and I say that with the deepest respect as I am a fruit cake as well. There is a local rag called new awakenings or something like that. You should be able to find one in most of the free news rag bins. They cater to nothing but the holistic community. I pick it up on occasion and enjoy what they gave to say.
