Potential Development site across from East Carolina and Chico's. This is the one I posted about a week or so ago. I believe it is going to be a mixed-use place. Residential, retail, and office, maybe.

Alright MrBojangles... I think you should move up where I am and get a job in the city planning office! Our planning office doesn't seem to always get it, but private money is flowing, so I can't complain.

Very promising plans. I hope we get to see many of them come to fruition, so Greenville can reach it's full potential. It would be great to see areas that are reminiscent of Hillsborough Street and the North Hills Mall in Raleigh.

great information! Thanks a million. If they can pull off that Visitors Bureau building it far exceeds my expectations in everyday. That would be a great start to changing downtown to uptown. Anyone heard if they are still planning on redeveloping the area beside the Sup Dogs? I had heard it was a done deal pretty much but hadn't heard anything since then & that was months & months ago.

I haven't heard anything official (or "official rumblings"), so in my mind it is just a rumor. I hope it ends up being more than a rumor, but as of now, nothing.

East Carolina is in the process of building again, on the Health Sciences campus: a Women and Children’s Clinic Facility.

It will be approximately $72 million building with 140,000sqft. That would make it larger than the Family Medicine Center (112k sqft), but smaller than Ross Hall (188k sqft).

The reasoning is to consolidate many services into one location. It also will create 900 space parking facility.
___________
Shooting from the hip, using the master plan as a guide, I think the location will be between ECHI and the Family Medicine Center. Assuming the parking facility means parking deck, there is paved parking in the center of all of these buildings.

The Master Plan calls for an "Ambulatory Clinics Building" with 194,000 sqft and 5 stories. So that is similar. The parking deck mentioned in the master plan is a 4-story parking deck, containing 700 spaces. Again a similar statement.

Needless to say, it is a great thing to see good construction here and everywhere
