We are heading to Ocean Isle Beach in June for a short family vacation (3 nights) How far of a drive is it to Myrtle Beach from Ocean Isle

I have a one year old & a 4 year old. We are going to take them to Myrtle Beach one day. We will be going to Broadway at the Beach and maybe Barefoot Landing?
Any other suggestions for fun stuff to do with them?

Thanks!

It's about an hour's drive...1 1/2 hours at the most. There's PLENTY to do at Barefoot's Landing & Broadway--Broadway has a Build-A-Bear, so watch out! LOL

Barefoot landing is about a 30 minute drive down 17S in North Myrtle Beach, you can take the kids to Alligator Adventure, Tiger Preserve and they have a great carousel there.

Broadway at the Beach is at the southern end of Myrtle Beach near hwy 501.
From Ocean Isle, it is easiest to take the 31 bypass (Grissom Pkway) and get off at 501. It will take about 1 hour. They have an iMax theatre, fantasy golf, MagiQuest, Ripleys Aquarium and a Carousel Park. Lots to do and see.

Have a really fun time!

Default Welcome center

There is a very nice welcome center on Hwy 17 just in the South Carolina border. Stop there and pick up maps, coupons, ads, etc.

It shouldn't take longer then 45 minutes. I worked in Shallote and lived about 3 miles from Broadway at the beach and it took me 45 minutes. I took the 17S and made a right at that road right by Brunswick Plantation and then grabbed the 31 from there and got off at the 501.

Love it and miss it

Ocean Isle Beach is less than 30 miles to Myrtle Beach. If you don't think the 4 year old would be frightened, take them to Alligator Adventure right a Barefoot Landing. It sits right on 17 as you go into Myrtle Beach. The pass is good for two days. also the Ripleys Acquarium is fun.
