My wife and I had been looking for something we could use as a bar in our dinner room. We spotted this machinist desk Labor Day of last year, at a really cool place called the Spud Factory in Gaylord Michigan. The price was more than I wanted to spend, so I've kept and eye on it and last month we went in and gave them an offer. Well 3 more counter offers later , we became the new owners. It worked out perfectly.
Later, I did some research and found out that the Moore Precision Tools desks are pretty desirable, and fetch some pretty high prices.

That is the exact one. Oddly enough, the location is about 45 minutes from where i purchased this one.

I absolutely love it! I know what you mean. (ikwym *rolls eyes at initials*)

I've dreamed of having cool decanters. Hold on. I'll take a pic.

See? I'm collecting decanters. I have cool little decanter necklaces that identify the contents. My son is flying in from Tampa Thursday from Alcohol Rehab. Bummer. One day I'll have a distinguished bar like yours.
btw, the wallpaper is not staying. We're remodeling. I do love vintage, though. Spent a while working at an antique shop. One estate was a WWII medic and they had so many decanter/glass sets. I can imagine the parties!
