It must suck knowing that despite great crowds and all that interest that they could only muster 1 win against a team with apathetic fans like miami in the prior 30 year .... probably as much as the fact that in that same time frame miami was able to collect a few more national titles
so I guess all that attendance really didn't account for much ..... except to give some sense of importance to people surrounding that state sponsored diploma mill

At least you get why I hate the canes. No doubt they seem to have OUr number.
Heh - it's all in fun .... as stated, i have nothing against OU and have met many good sooners in their trips out to the desert (which probably aren't exactly highlights for them either............)
As a Miami fan you kind of learn that more programs hate the one you follow than vice versa ...... definitely a program where most have an opinion, that's for sure
CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- The Donald has a message for The U: Hire Mike Leach.
Donald Trump sent a letter to University of Miami president Donna Shalala this week, suggesting the Hurricanes hire the former Texas Tech coach to lead their football program.
Trump wrote the note on a copy of The Palm Beach Post's Sunday sports section, scrawling it over the newspaper's story announcing Randy Shannon's firing.
University officials confirmed the authenticity of the note Wednesday.
"You made a big mistake when you did not take my advice and hire Mike Leach of Texas Tech ... and you can now get him for the right price," Trump wrote to Shalala.
Trump lobbied Miami to hire Leach in 2006, when they ultimately chose Shannon.
Wonder what Trump's connection to Leach is. I like Leach, but isn't he kind of "persona non grata" to a lot of schools? Still love to see Gruden take the job.

I wanna know too. In 2008 just before the Texas vs Texas Tech game, they mentioned Leach and Trump where friends, but left out how they know one another.
I see the U has Ohio State at home next year and USF as always. I hope the U turns it around, it has been since 2002 that Miami has had 1 or two losses.
EL PASO, Texas -- Notre Dame and Miami have accepted invitations to meet in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 31, giving the game a marquee matchup between two teams with plenty of history.
Both teams will take 7-5 records into the 77th annual game.
The game will mark the 24th meeting between the schools, but the first since 1990. It was announced in July that the schools were renewing their spirited and often fierce regular-season series with three games beginning in 2012 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 15-7-1, though the two schools have never met in a bowl.
