Miami is a better team when Harris isn't playing. They could very well win against Va-Tech with him sitting out.

Agreed, as much as I loved watching Jacory play I am so sick of his INT's. Plus this freshman is really good for a true freshman!

Okay let's bring back Jimmy Johnson or any past coach. Geesh! 7-5 is nowhere near acceptable!

Person with knowledge of decision tells AP that Miami fires coach Randy Shannon - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — A person familiar with the decision tells The Associated Press that Miami fired coach Randy Shannon on Saturday, hours after the Hurricanes finished a 7-5 regular season.

The fate of all members of Shannon's staff has not been determined, according to the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the university is not announcing the move until Sunday. Some, if not all, will remain for Miami's bowl game.

Shannon received a four-year extension just before the start of the 2010 season. He was 28-22 in four seasons at Miami.

Miami athletic director Kirby Hocutt, who made the decision on Shannon's fate, did not return calls and text messages seeking comment. Hocutt made the decision shortly after Miami lost to South Florida 23-20 in overtime on Saturday afternoon, in a game where only about 27,000 people filled the 73,000 seats at Sun Life Stadium.

University of Miami cornerback Ryan Hill was on a team bus that included his head coach, Randy Shannon, as it pulled into Sun Life Stadium for the regular-season finale Saturday against South Florida.
Linebackers Colin McCarthy and Sean Spence pointed to the giant banner flapping behind an airplane, and ``the whole bus immediately turned and looked,'' Hill said. Here is what they saw:

"4 YEARS 0 ACC TITLES LOTS OF EXCUSES FIRE SHANNON.''
