I'm beginning to wonder if the Big XII should even consider the northern teams part of our conference anymore. In general, they are all a major disappointment......now that Nebraska is gone and K-State being so up and down from year-to-year.
The Big X(II) needs to worry more about addition instead of subtraction, if you ask me.

Who could they add at this point?
The ACC has its teams on lockdown with the GoR. And unless we can lure Arkansas (the Big XII already tried a time or two with Arkie) away from the SEC with more money per year on payout then it ain't happening....and convincing A&M to come back home is most likely a moot point now too, although if I was Bowlsby & the Big XII Administration I'd be smoozing A&M every chance I could get to bring 'em back. (I think 4-5 bad-mediocre years in the SEC could get the Hissies thinking about coming home.)
Bottom Line: There are not any other teams out there, with maybe the exception of BYU, that wouldn't be a financial liability. Realignment is over for the foreseeable future.
I'm with you, though. It would have been great to get Florida State/Clemson or even maybe Louisville, but that ship has sailed. Done deal.

Didn't stop them from getting TCU who had both feet in the (now defunct) Big East's door...
That game was absolutely ridiculous. The game was sloppy for the most part, then TCU came back and made it a game in the 2nd half... then the refs just COMPLETELY stomped on any chance of the Frogs winning. I'm sorry. I'm not the type to blame the refs, but you and I know that there were FOUR big moments in that game for TCU, but the call went the other way, or NOT called at all.
Offense wakes up in the 2nd half and blows out a team (and a hated rival) it SHOULD blow out. Good, but I'm getting sick of the offense sleeping during the 1st half.
