TCU to the Big East is a heck of a lot of travel. Are you going to compete in the conference in all sports? Basketball...baseball...that is going to be a nightmare.
I saw somewhere that broke down the travel and apparently it would actually be less travel for TCU in the Big East. It sounds weird at first, but TCU is a long ways away from most Mtn. West schools. Plus, it seems like the Big East may have their eye on picking up a few Big XII schools if it implodes, which would give TCU a few regional partners. Conference geographical footprints are going to get weird in the coming years, in my opinion.

I agree that TCU basketball in the Big East would be very weird and complete suicide for TCU.

I thought Dallas was in the Mountain Time Zone...I was thinking it was 2 time zones forward, to go east. My bad. I live in AZ and get confused by time zones all the time.

Nah we (meaning Fort Worth) are in the Central.
That's why so many people were questioning why TCU went to the Mtn. West in the first place.

That and the fact that there are no mountains anywhere near the DFW Metroplex.

TCU may very well be the best overall team in the entire country. They are THAT good. Scary defense they have - scary good.

That's because the folks in Arizona have it right. NO daylight savings time!

Talent wise...agreed...(besides obviously Alabama.) I'd put them 4th though...because sorry...they just don't go through a Big 11 or SEC schedule.

I didn't mean they have beaten everyone. But they haven't been blown out. They can hold their own with anyone in the country.

I'm guessing ESPN will carry it since it's on a Tuesday. Usually ESPN forces small conference teams to play on those weird nights so they have something else to air besides World Series of Poker or Bass Master reruns.
