When they show the players announcing the school they went to, some say "The U", what school is that?

Here in the West, we think of the U as the U of U, or Utah. But they cyclone is right, they mean Miami.

Miami used to have a swagger when they were on top of the football world and simply referrring to their school as "The U" was bred from that.

A lot of NFL players have come from Miami and it's definitely a really well known U in the college football world.
