06 Longhorns were the best football team of all time...
After all, they ran the table and beat 06 USC (who were deemed by the media the "best of all time")... also USC had 2 Heisman winners on their squad... can 95 Nebraska or 01 Hurricanes say that?

The 2001 Canes were awesome and that team produced a good number of future NFL players. However, that 1995 Nebraska team was simply amazing. I would say that the 95 Huskers would have beat the 01 Canes by about 10 points. That option they ran was incredible.
I'm going to go with the 2001 Hurricanes. That team was simply amazing. They were completely stacked. I'll admit I don't know much about the 1995 Cornhuskers, but all I know is the 2001 Hurricanes has to be one of the best teams ever formed. Wow were they good.
And cyclone8570, it's hilarious you mention that. That time was the beginning of me losing respect for ESPN. For everyone who doesn't understand what he's exactly referring to: For a month straight leading up to the title game between USC and Texas, ESPN's talking heads got on a segment EVERYDAY and put USC up against all the teams who won the title (2001 Hurricanes, 1995 Huskers, and so on and so on) and deemed USC could beat them all. Then look what happened, Texas beat USC. So, according to ESPN that makes Texas the best team ever. I remember even the talking heads making fun of themselves for that stupid segment. Bunch of ridiculousness. ESPN is notorious for riding the hype train...

06 Longhorns? You mean 05. And no, they were not the best of all time.
Do you realize the amount of pro talent that was on 01 Miami?
Willis McGahee
Najeh Davenport Andre Johnson Antrell Rolle
Mike Rumph
Ken Dorsey
Sean Taylor Ed Reed Phillip Buchanon Frank Gore Jonathan Vilma Vince Wilfork
Bryant McKinnie Kellen Winslow Roscoe Parrish Jeremey Shockey

Not a complete list...

Just because you have all these guys turned out into pros doesn't make them the best team of all time. There are plenty of stud college players that never turned into anything in the pros. Tommy Frazier was one of those guys. It matters on how well a team meshes, not about the amount of star power on a team. So between the two teams, I believe Nebraska 95 is better than Miami 01.

Nebraska 95 was an excellent team...no denying that. I think 01 Miami and 95 Nebraska would be a very interesting matchup...pretty much power vs. speed. I'm not exactly sure who would win. 01 Miami was able to destroy Nebraska's option game in the NC game that year...but that wasn't even close to the dominance of the option they had in 95.
My point about Miami was mainly in regards to the notion that (05) Texas would beat them. In the words of the great dunce Lee Corso "not so fast, my friend!"
