Wow! So if Pueblo can win that will say a lot about the team.....
Yeah we have been spoiled. Some fans wanted to get rid of our current coach who started in 2010 for going 8-3 his first two seasons and also missing the playoffs.
correction Matt Micheal went 11-2 in the first season and lost in the second round of the playoffs.

I know what you mean I think Pueblo is spoiled with our current coach. He is from Pueblo and went to CSU Pueblo so his family and his gf's family is here so I don't see him leaving. At least I hope not.
How Colorado State-Pueblo became national power in only five years
There was a great article about CSU Pueblo's football team in the Denver Post so I had to post it!
This is from the Denver Post:
There's nothing quite like a college marching band to stir emotion among fans, especially when those fans have a great football team to root for. Rod Slyhoff, president of the greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, can now point to both as pluses for his southern Colorado town. Five years ago, Pueblo had neither.
In that short time, the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves have become a national Division II power under the leadership of coach John Wristen, who built the program from scratch. The band followed. "We didn't have a helmet, we didn't have a football office, when we started," Wristen recalled. "I was hired July 3, 2007, and less than 13 months later, we began playing a full season's schedule. That was pressure. The results have been impressive. The ThunderWolves won their third consecutive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title this season and have a 37-game regular-season winning streak.
This is a open letter from Coach Wristen to CSU Pueblo fans about this weekends game. It came across my Facebook page so I thought I would post it here for all to read.
