...Waiting for justice.

While this monster parades his public relations all over the news media, borrows money from "friends" and family for his war chest, and in general attempts to shower the public with nonsense we wait for him to show his underbelly, the monster inside the man; the uncaring unfeeling sexual predator. He spends enough time on the air we are going to see it, a flash of a look, a flippant laugh about someone's pain, a hint of the true rage he feels at being called to heel.

Make no mistake this guy is royally pissed off. He has had a needle poked into a secret that even wont' admit to himself. His wife, his church are all now looking at him at church pointing and whispering and he HATES it. ...He thinks "how dare they....". And what he wants now more than ever is to punish those accusers. He has already gone after them on global television, now the real brutality starts towards them. This is no minor man in a dress. This is the real deal. A predatory monster defending his lair, someone has taken his meat away and he with bared fangs is angry. Make no mistake peeps. This guy is a dangerous cat, claws out. An aggressive church blessed cunning killer of souls, and he is out for revenge.

This response doesn't surprise me in the least. My ex-husband issued the same categorical denial about molesting our daughter when confronted.

So many people saw what happened in this case, and there was more than one or even two victims. How this man can stand there and calmly deny that anything happened beyond "horseplay" (oh, is that what you're calling child rape these days? ) is just sickening.

First off, I am soo sorry regarding your daughter. I have no words. I do hope he is locked away for good, for your sake.

Sandy, Sandusky is a narcissist. He is so vile! I still can't get over the Bob Costas' interview.

Couple of points--
the news story about McQueary's email to his friend defending his reaction that night is not so new--

that report was out there about McQueary sending CYA emails to friends and guys on the football squad and even making phone calls when he was out of circulation (in protective custody) before Saturday's game...

at that time one of the stories was that McQueary said he was "two-fisting it" meaning drinking with both hands...and one story I read said the people who got the phone call(s) said he sounded drunk...

In no report/story is there any speified time line to that conversation with the police--
he could be talking about his meeting with Schultz and Curley 10 days after the incident...

I have not seen the full text of the email--just "reported" stories of what was in it--and all are not entirely the same...reporters add their own "interpretation" to their work

put that scene in the context of a novel--something like what Thomas Perry who did "Red Dragon" or James Patterson who does the Alex Cross series might write...

The book starts with a protagonist--a young grad assistant/former college jock--
it is Friday starting Spring Break--he thinks he is probably the only guy on campus...not even the janitors are around...he is going into what he believes is a familiar but empty gym locker room...
for a long time his footsteps and door opening/closings are the only sounds he hears...
then totally unexpectedly (maybe even before he gets to his locker to stash his new shoes)
he hears water running in a nearby shower room and a rhythmic slap-slap-slap...

definitely surprising and definitely sounding like sex--

He is only a grad asst but he has some authority for policing activities that aren't allowed--
and he is pretty good physical specimen, former college player himself at that school
After all he broke up a fight in the college eating hall between some jocks, one who had a knife--
so he is not too worried about stopping what he thinks he will find --

Probably just some football jock and his girl in the shower room having some illicit but "fun" sex before they have to split up for Spring Break--creating a memorable moment-- maybe even part of a dare from other students...but probably just 1 couple because there is really only that isolated slap-slap-slap...

Yet what he sees when he walks into in that shower room is someone who is one of the most powerful, well-known football legends at his college, his state, really even the football world at large!

Plus the person receiving that attention is not some nubile young coed or even someone who looks more like a hooker--but a 10 yr old boy...

SHOCK does not begin to describe what that protagonist feels...
he probably feels like he was kicked in the gonads...
he sees them and THEY SEE HIM...
no recoiling into the shadows after that knowledge has passed...no forgetting on either side...

but when you are the protagonist -- you are the hero--

McQueary's reported email says that he "did the right thing" that he "stopped it before he left" and that he "called the police"...

well in a novel if a protagonist is doing all that--without physically punching someone out--
which McQueary has never claimed...

How can you leave--even if the rape has stopped--without protecting that child...
How do you know what that predator will do to that child if you leave them alone...
How can you walk away even to call the police and leave that young boy in the custody of the predator himself
Do you expect that predator is just going to let you walk away, not damage your career which is just a gas bubble compared to his reputation??? Not challenge your version of events???

Now of course when someone is in such a totally shocking, unanticipated situation--
it's like being T-boned by a jacked-up 4x4 as you enter an intersection--
you aren't thinking that clearly or that much in depth...you're are reeling...

But for McQueary now to be trying to clear his conscience and get some of this hostile reaction off his back by saying that he DID stop the rape, that he DID call the police--

well I don't know--

if he stopped that rape and then left that boy with Sandusky what good did that do???

McQueary was 28 at the time--big guy--he was willing to break up that fight in the dining hall--
you would think that would be old enough, big enough, fearless enough to do the right thing--

but leaving that boy alone to be driven home by Jerry Sandusky--the guy who was just raping him a short time ago ---
what kind of scary deal was that???
I would have really been afraid that boy never would have made it home--

Without that boy it is just McQueary's word against Sandusky's--
gas bubble vs Old Ironsides...

and now Sandusky's attorney says THEY found that boy--and he will say there was no rape--
If the police knew who that boy was, he would have testified at the Grand Jury hearing along with McQueary and the other 7 or 8 victims...
If McQueary let that boy leave with Sandusky and has no proof of who he was--and none of the PSU people admit to knowing his name--apparently they never asked Sandusky who the boy was IF they talked to him after talking to McQueary---
then how can they prove the boy Sandusky brings in is NOT the boy in the shower that night...

McQueary's story is the strongest one against Sandusky--if they can discredit his story by calling in another "eye-witness" then Sandusky can create reasonable doubt for that incident if nothing else...

Do I think he did it--
of course--and more cases than they will ever know about or he can be charged for
but I really, really wonder what happened to that boy after they left that shower room...
Because I know he was not with McQueary...
if he had taken that boy away that would have been part of his testimony--
they would know who that boy was--
and Sandusky would have been in jail before now...

So, again the question becomes, what did JP know, and when did he know it?

Maybe he knew a lot, and knew it long ago?

Ex-Olympic gymnastics coach banned for life - Houston Chronicle (http://www.chron.com/sports/article/Ex-Olympic-gymnastics-coach-banned-for-life-2272009.php - broken link)

how one sport disciplines the coaches who prey on their players...
not that banning Sandusky or Paterno if guilty of more serious offences after this investigation is done would do any good
but the NCAA really needs to look at what the officials at Penn State knew about Sandusky's behavior and how they choose to address it--
whether he preyed on HIS PSU players or not

the reason to cover up what he did on PSU property with young boys from off campus was because of Sandusky's role within the PSU football program--and how his "outing" as a pedophile would have affected that multi-million dollar business...
If the NCAA refuses to look--then it is just as guilty as anything PSU officials turned a blind eye toward...
