RJ Robb Cal and Stanford have 10X the academic standards that Notre Dame has and Cal is ranked much higher.. if we want to set a good example - let's give those teams more coverage.

Here's the newly released Washington Monthly rankings -it ranks universities on what they do for the country. Maybe the most deserving should get the media attn...

I'd like to see them join the Big 10. I dont think the program is done with all the high level connections the school seems to have. The best athletes at everyy Catholic school in the midwest still end up going there. The last few years the sunshine of Southern Cal and Florida have convinced some otherwise. A new coach who can get a pipeline to the next level, is what recruits now.

If you were Notre Dame, would you join the Big Ten?

These rankings are a joke. 4 UC campuses in the top 10 and South Carolina State at #6. How can anybody take these rankings seriously?

They will never join a conference as long as NBC gives them an exclusive deal to broadcast their home games nationally.

The problem with ND is that they are coached by a guy who belongs in the NFL as an O-coordinator. Charlie Weis is a below average head coach. He is a much better #2 man than being the man. They need to get a guy like Urban Meyer to coach them. I would not be surprised if Meyer took his "dream job" at ND within the next two years.
