This one hurts - a lot. 1/3 of Peterson's losses at Boise have come this season (99-12). BSU remained steady after Dirk Koetter and Dan Hawkins left. Will they still be a power without Peterson? I say 50-50 at best.
Boise's not an easy place to recruit, and with their mediocre academic standing BSU will likely never get an invite to one of the power conferences.
I feel for Broncos fans. This is a pretty dark day for their program.

Honestly I'm surprised by this. No disrespect to Wasington, but he has turned down much better jobs(UCLA, USC, Texas A& M, Wisconsin, Stanford, Oregon) than Washington to stay at Bosie St. It's a great hire for Washington. I guess he really loves the Pacific NW.
CBS reported that he will get 3.6 million a year. 5 year contract. From what I could find that makes him the highest paid in the PAC12. Tied for 8th with Spurrier.

IMHO, Washington's commitment is much better these days. Polishing up Husky Stadium (to say the least) sure does make moving across the state line a lot easier to handle.
USC is in a ghetto (most of LA is anyway) and supposedly he didn't see eye-to-eye with Pat Haden, A&M at the time wasn't so hot to trot, so I suppose it came down to having care for the kiddo nearby as to why he'd have turned down Stanford or Oregon.
