frankly most mascots are pretty silly to me. now florida state has by far the best mascot.That horse alone is beautiful.

Not college but I thought I'd share. My kids go to a Catholic HS. Their mascot is the "Padre" or Father. Pretty common for a Catholic school. But the girls hate it because they are the Lady Padres. Or, the Lady Fathers.

We were the Bugeaters before the Cornhuskers (and we have become kind of forgotten of late - so I don't know if we qualify) Bugeaters is an unusual name though .
