First if all it wasn't the"SEC" that won those mythical national championships, it was only three schools LSU, Alabama, and Florida. The rest of the sec like Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi St., sucks. I love how the scrub teams in sec like to jump on the better teams band wagon. I've only witnessed that from SEC fans. Second of all, last year auburn lost to Florida st. And Alabama(the gold standard of the sec) got their asses handed to them by Oklahoma in the sugar bowl. Third when you let teams like texas a&m and Missouri, two teams who were mediocre at best in the big 12, come in and tear it up in your supposedly elite conference and have success, then yes your overrated.
Texas a&m under sumlin is a totally different animal than when they was in the big 12 under sherman as said by Bob stoopes himself when a&m beat down Oklahoma two years ago. Sumlin bought a whole new coaching staff in with him during a&m's sec debut. The athletic director was new too. The big 12 a&m is long gone.

Yep. TAMU would pretty much have their way with any Big12 team with the exception of Oklahoma. Texas fans especially should get down on their knees and thank the football gods that they no longer have to play the Aggies. The Sack of Carthage would look like a Bible study in comparison to what would happen if those two teams played this year.

I agree that's why I think its meaningless for SEC homers to tell me about championships they one in the past. All we have to go by is the current information, which is last year and the first two weeks of this year. Hell my team Texas one a championship in 2005 and played for another in 2009, but who cares we're talking about right now, and right now we're in rebuilding mode with a new coach. It's all reciprocal. All the traditonal powers go through periods when they're up and then they go through a period when they're down. Texas just happens to be in a down cycle.

Still feel that way? Oh my, did they look awful against a Boston College team they were expected to roll over as the nearly three touchdown favorite. BC ran for 452 yards while holding the Trojans to just 20 rushing. Once again my long time betting rule of never giving points on the road holds true.

We have a playoff now rankings are irrelevant. Only one team wins a championship, I don't care about the rest of the overrated SEC. See Tenn agiasnt Oklahoma last saturday.

Lol, come back and talk to me when they Aggies win a national championship. Texas is down right now, beacuse Mack Brown put it on cruise control the last five years and let the programs fall apart. But anybody who thinks we're going to stay that way is moron. All the loser schools like A&M, Baylor, Tech who haven't won anything of significance the last 75 years better have their fun while they can, because when Texas comes back(and we WILL come back, we always do) its back to being irrelevant for the schools in this state.
