You don't even have to be a BC fan to like that game as the most memorable.

In 1966, I was a Navy draftee at Moffett Naval Air Station in California.
Another sailor from southern California wanted so badly to bet on #10 USC vs #1 Notre Dame, but wanted me to give lots of points .

I agreed and spotted him 30 points .

Notre Dame won some money for me by crushing USC 51-0.

I am also going to assume every Stanford fan would remember winning the 2013 Rose Bowl over Wisconsin.

Google in "Game Of The Century-Nebraska vs. Oklahoma-1971"

Thanksgiving weekend. For years these two teams played on that date. ABC telecasted it with Chris Schankel and Bud Wilkinson. The lead changed hands several times, it was, if you will, truly a "last man standing' sort of game. Nebraska outlasted Oklahoma 35-31. Nebraska beat #2 Alabama to win the National championship. Here are the final stats for the AP/UPI rankings;

1. Nebraska
2. Oklahoma
3. Colorado

Iowa State had a solid football program that year as well. They were ranked #17 when they went up against LSU in the Sun Bowl. Iowa State finished with an 8-4 record.

It was Big-8 conference dominance with a capitol D. No other year was like that, to see three teams from one conference finish in the top 3 in the AP/UPI poll. IMO it will never happen again either.

Yes, indeed. See my post #16 for the Johnny Rodgers classic punt return in that game, with Lyle Bremser's call. There won't be another one like it.

In person - 2010 Nebraska at Texas A&M. I was wayyy up in the 3rd deck corner of the student section but they packed us in like sardines and it remains the best atmosphere I've been in. 9-6 win just weeks after upsetting Oklahoma. That 2010 season marked the end of the dark days of the 2000s.

Honorable mention to the 2012 Alabama - A&M game. Biggest upset while a student and Manziel's arguable peak.
