The Pete Carrolls and Bill Belichicks aren’t putting their players in the ground; they’re putting them in virtual reality chambers. Only the NCAA tolerates — and refuses to regulate — unhinged dictators who think football has to be conditioned with sadistic extremes.>>

Hopefully, an NFL coach would speak up and condemn these outdated approaches in team practices at the collegiate level. My only concern would be that some coaches may feel if they speak out against the NCAA and its' policies, they may be off any short list of future coaching vacancies. We have seen NFL coaches go back into the college ranks and vice versa. However, we are talking about lives of student athletes here.

This entire ordeal has sickened me since i first read about this...hopefully these trainers get locked up in prison for a long, long time. Don't know if Durkin's getting canned, but he probably should be.

I've been to Metro DC in the summer and the heat is pretty much as bad as Florida - brutally humid. This should have been prevented.
