Yes... And it's not a good thing if Notre Dame isn't good.. At least for the next few years.

We've talked about this before.. Alabama is even stepping up their game as far as non-conference opponents.. Even doing.. Shocker.. home-and-home series instead of nothing but neutral site games.

That ND plays Clemson and other traditionally solid ACC programs like Miami, FSU and Va Tech on a regular basis should help them recruit.

It's up to the rest of the ACC to become more competitive with Clemson although Virginia and UNC are both on the rise, and 68-year old Tar Heels HC Mack Brown is doing very well in recruiting.

Clemson's destruction of the Buckeyes in the 2016 Fiesta Bowl certainly got the attention of millions of CFB fans and took their program to another level, and they figure to be regular participants in the playoffs for years, and certainly figure to be spending January 1st, 2021 in either Pasadena or New Orleans.

Georgia and Clemson played some great games in the 80s. They are more of a rivalry game than against either of their in-state foes.

They played that game almost annually from the '60s through the '80s. Great series. Perfect natural rivalry and I got to thinking that during that period of time that both Clemson might have considered Georgia as their biggest out of state rival and Georgia had Clemson right close to the Gators as far as a rival.

That is a game that conference realignment took away that people overlook.

Great to see them play again!!

It is possible Clemson's next coach will have even more success similar to Roy Williams. Winning titles makes it easier lure great coaches and recruit the best high school kids.

We still need to beef it up. We need another SEC team each year. More UGA, plus some Auburn, and by God it's time to play Tennessee again. And why not a home-and-home with Alabama?
