So the national championship game is just the SEC championship 2.0. Yaaawwwwnnnnnn.
That is further fuel for an 8 team playoff, but will the brain dead NCAA wake up?
I'm not an SEC fan by any means but this is just hating.
The two best teams in the country are from the SEC. It is what it is. The other two teams got spanked comprehensively. And dont kid yourself, Notre Dame or Ohio State or whoever else you want to put in the playoffs would have met the same fate.
Here's my idea:
Have the bowl season as they used to.
Then, after that, do a 4 team playoff.
This way you keep the bowl tradition intact. The problem with a play off is that the bowl people feel it takes away from the bowls. Whether you agree or not, it's just fact.
So - let the bowls take place.
And then do the seeding for the playoff.
It's kinda like the system we have now, only my system would essentially leave the bowl system alone. It would allow it to maintain it's integrity with no erosion due to a playoff system. You would just separate the two. And the bowls games would provide more information to the seeding committee for the playoff.
He's not Bryce Young, but he is good enough to beat Alabama is he's hot, and we dont lose the turnover game. He was hot in the Michigan game, but I get it that Michigan is not Alabama.
I think this game will be much better than the 1st game.
