I found out for the SEC that if there is a three way tie it goes

1. (Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
2. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
3. Record of the tied teams within the division.
4. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
5. Overall record vs. non-division teams.
6. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
7. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
8. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

Heres the Big XII tiebreaker rules;


If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative This one is easy.

If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 7 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
1. The records of the three teams will be compared against each other. All 12-1
2. The records of the three teams will be compared within their division. All 7-1
3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (fourth, fifth and sixth). All 3-0
4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents. All one loss.
5. The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular season conference play shall be the representative. Ding Ding Ding!! Very unlikely there is a tie with this one.
6. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative. ??? Not sure which games would be "exempt"
7. The representative will be chosen by draw. Now wouldn't that be something!!!



I added the part in red to address the scenario in which a lone Tech loss to OU along with UT, OU and Tech winning out. Pretty amazing stuff!!

Lol what I ment is that all 3 coaches toss a coin, the odd one out loses, kind of like what they done on Friday Night Lights if you've seen that movie.
