You've gotta respect ECU for scheduling the way they do every year. I wouldn't be surprised if those Tobacco Road schools quit scheduling ECU. I hope y'all get picked up by the ACC, SEC, or Big East at some point.
We pretty much have to schedule that way now (we've been doing it for years, though. As an independant for almost 20years we did pretty well for ourselves)
You do know that we start up a series with your squad here in about 2 years, right?. Should be a good one. I think its 3 in Columbia, 2 in Greenville and 1 in Charlotte. Or something similar. I'm looking forward to it.
Tell ya the truth I wouldnt mind if we didnt play NCSU and UNC but only occasionally. They look down on us and try to down play it. Hell right now our game is the only one UNC has sold out.
I think for the next 7-8 years we have long home-home series set up with Navy, USC, UNC, NCSU, VT, WVU and UVA.
I think at this point the only hope we have is for the Big East (even that is a very small chance, IMO). I mean we already woulf be in the top half of attendance for the Big East (averaged almost 43,000 last year and expanding to 50,000 after this year)
Texas should have begged a BCS school to play them this year instead of going to Wyoming. Is it too much for all the BCS schools to have one OOC game against a BCS opponent every year?

USC does it every year. Actually, they usually have multiple OOC games against BCS schools.
App State (home)
West Virginia (away)
UNC (away)
VT (home)
Looks to be the toughest listed in this thread so far.
The 1st three games listed are our 1st three games of the season. VT is a home Thursday night ESPN game in Nov.
I can see 4-0, I can also see 1-3. We did beat WVU, UNC and VT the last time we matched up. We have almost our entire team returning, plus the key is getting injured players back (last year I think we had at one point 17 starters injured). Our Oline will be the 2nd most experienced Oline in the nation. Our QB is coming back for a 6th year (3rd year of actually seeing playing time). We are very deep at RB and DL and have 2 very good playmakers at WR. Hopefully we can have some depth at WR and our DBs play good.
I may be a bit biased here, but I dont think they will beat the Heels strictly because of the Heels' defense. I just dont think ECU has the offense that can overcome what can be a very dominant defense. The Heels are also experienced on O, but the achilles heel could be the WR spots. They are very young and inexperienced at WR and it could be a challenge for Yates and the WR's to get on track for the first 2 or 3 games.
