If Western Michigan or Eastern Michigan beats Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan should be forced to disband the football program or stop reciving funding from the state.

I am banking on they will be more competitive than the terrible 2-11 record of 2008 - but even my rose-colored glasses sees 3 or 4 wins as a huge acheivement.
I bet there will be more fans at the State Championship here in Texas than at that ND/Wazzu game in San Antonio...talk about boring. But, I hope the Cougs get 'em.

Why would a school in Washington, and a school in Indiana, play a neutral site game in Texas?

Notre Dame has flat out admitted that recruiting was the reason for the game in Texas, and they plan on having one in Florida soon too.

Sorry but if I was a recruit from Texas or Florida and Notre Dame came to my state I would laugh. Why go to a school that only has history on it's side when I could go to Texas or Florida and have a chance at a BCS championship.

Lol pretty much, although there are players out there who would rather play for say a Notre Dame or a Washington,

if I were a recruit, I'd rather goto a school and play from day one than wait say two years to eventually get game time.

But I expect us to be a better team as well. Almost all of our starters are back and most of the backups had significant playing time last year due to us being devastated with injuries (17 starters missed time last year during the season due to injuries).

Pinkney is back again (6th year at ECU, 3rd year getting PT). The game last year really shouldnt have been as close as it was. We gained around 150 more yards and gave up 16points directly due to turnovers.

The first game I ever attended at ECU, though, was a Thursday night ESPN game in Greenville vs VT. David Garrard vs. Mike Vick. So that one didnt end up well for us.

I don't remember the stats, but I have no doubt that ECU outgained us. VT's offense has been downright awful the past few years, especially in the red zone, with the defense being almost as productive in scoring points for them. Hopefully this year we'll have a little more firepower, as the OC is out of excuses for the O-line and inexperience.

I'm looking forward to the game. Yeah, VT will most likely be favored, but I'm worried about that game for us; I think it's a bit of a trap game. You guys are a tough team, combined with it being a thursday night home game for you all, I'm hoping our guys come in fired up.

Many games to get through first, but it'll be a good one though.
