Man that was a bad cotton bowl. Ole Miss can't call that a decent win, once again Jevin Snead comes up short. Kid shouldn't even think about forgoing another college season.

Okla State is out of the rankings for sure.

Actually the officiating was directly responsible for at least one of them. Killed Oklahoma State's momentum, and they were downhill from there.
Mississippi had gotten plenty of help prior to that as well, and it was still a 7-7 game.

Re: Fiesta Bowl

Looks like the BCS system gets bailed out again. Yes, maybe both teams are very good and it's like a stalemate... but you can't really tell. BCS chaos kinda required one of the teams (esp TCU) to just roll over the other. As the game is now, neither team looks like it would fare any better than Cincy against Florida. But we really don't know. BCS system wins.

Having said that, Go Frogs.

I can't stand that damn blue field they have, but it's great for college football that this powerhouse Boise St. program has emerged way out in the northwest. I truly think they can play with anyone, although I do think it's time they moved up in class as far as conference and strength of schedule goes. The Big 10 has been looking for another member, so they can take Missouri or Iowa State, and Boise can fill that slot in the Big 12. Either that, or the Pac 10 can add a couple teams, i.e. Boise St. and San Diego St. or Nevada? Food for football thought.

Well, they should jump Cincy and TCU. So that would put them at #4. The Orange Bowl is two 2 loss teams, so I doubt either of them jump BSU. In the NC game, if Texas loses perhaps BSU gets to #3, but if Bama loses I doubt they will drop to more than #3... which would keep BSU at #4.

So your answer is #4 or maybe #3.

Any team can look exceptional and unbeatable when they play a soft schedule.

( I'm referring to TCU )

Heck, even Lou Holtz was gushing over and over how great TCU was last week.

TCU definitely deserves the chants of------" over rated"---

Well, I don't know if you can really say that. I mean, they lost to another unbeaten team with a similar schedule... a team which also could deserve the chants of "over rated". We just don't know.

What DOES seem clear now is that either Cincy or TCU playing in the NC game (which came very close to happening) would have likely been a huge disappointment.
