Boise State got a cushy schedule all year and was able to rest up, devoid of injuries like most other BCS schools that had injuries and tough schedules. Sure they'll be able to put a competitive game together when they get to sit around and rest all year long. I'm not convinced of this team that likes to play on a blue field; they are just a sham and will never, EVER be a REAL team until they play a R-E-A-L schedule.

I certainly hope they don't end up any higher than #4. Sure, they've beat some good teams, there is no denying that they are a good football team, but with the SOS they play each year there is no reason to take them seriously when they're beating their chests.

I think they're a strong program, but they need to find a BCS conference to move into or schedule some heavy OOC games, and I think they'd do decent in a BCS conference too. I'm not convinced that they'd be the heavy hitter they pad their stats with against consistently good teams.
Good team = yes
Elite team = not until they dominate opponents consistently against a BCS caliber schedule, not just one week a season plus a bowl game with a month long preparation.

For some of us, that was abundantly clear way before these bowl games were played.

It seems to be that given the structure of the current BCS that the right two teams are playing Thursday night.

Many would argue that the two best teams in the land played in the SEC championship game...

I know I'm way off subject, but I have to say this...

Tim Tebow is a douche bag. I just saw an interview with him saying "It's not the great things I do on the field, not my accomplishments in the classroom, but what I do outside of all that". Puke...puuuke puke.

What's wrong with that? I think that's a great thing, and I hate Florida football.

( I'm referring to TCU )

Heck, even Lou Holtz was gushing over and over how great TCU was last week.

TCU definitely deserves the chants of------" over rated"---
You WOULD say that after you see the team play one bad game against a team that was hungrier for a win.
Both TCU and Boise are good team and like it or not, the Broncos will finnish in the top 5.

TCU wasn't overrated this year, and trust me, we'll come back.....
Go Frogs!

+1 on all counts. (I guess he could have re-phrased his "great things on the field" comment, but the sentiment is right...)

I am still trying to figure out who had the ugliest uniforms between TCU and Boise State. Alabama could beat these two team's talent put together.

TCU's were uglier only because their pants didn't match their helmets.

And just by goin' on that game last night, I'd agree with you. Too bad I've seen at least one of these teams ALL YEAR. And if you wanna go by one game, that's fine....
