Though I don't have a degree in SCM (another unrelated field), I'm in the field right now, and have been for two years, but I feel as lost as you do. In SCM, there seems to be a huge gap between pay grades. You're either at the bottom, working in a warehouse somewhere, or you're an operations manager or logistics coordinator. According to most data, the pay is supposed to be pretty good if you're a manager, but I'm definitely not seeing it. I make around mid-40s right now, and though it's relative, I don't see that as a decent living wage, especially if you want to buy a home and start a family. Also, I rarely see any decent jobs posted on the web (nothing that pays over $40k, at least).

There are a few websites I've checked in the past, but none seem too helpful to me. Maybe you'll find something useful on them.

This is a very tough field as far as stability of employment (transportation companies generally operate on very thin margins and many go out of business) and there's no requirement of a specific degree in the field. While it can pay well, it can be difficult to get the right entry level opportunity or, as the previous poster indicated, you can get stuck permanently in a low-wage job with few opportunities for advancement. I would not bother with a degree in this specific area unless I started working part-time in logistics during school or at least got a good internship with training. Otherwise, you're better off getting a more general business degree such as finance so that you won't be pegged as a logistics person by other potential employers.
