I don't know if I will have the time to spend at one of our local universities.

Are there some online schools I could attend that won't put me in a stomp when I finish them? I've heard some places being turned off towards online degrees in various professions.
My program of choice is K4-5-3rd grade..elementary education.

My advice? Take online classes and get a degree from a school that's actually a brick-and-mortar school. For example, my school: Adams State College. Your degree won't tell whether you went to the campus or took classes online (though your work experience [employer location, etc] might).
How in the world would an education major complete all of their practical teaching internships via an on-line course of study?
The classwork is completed online...the internship section is not. Read below:
From the website: The degree can be completed primarily through online studies. Some courses require observations or work in nearby schools during regular school hours. Two required courses in Health and Human Performance must be completed in Superior and are offered concurrently each summer in a three week block. Students must also travel to Superior for a student teaching interview, a student teaching orientation, and three one-day student teaching seminars. All students are required to complete a semester of fulltime student teaching arranged through the university's Office of Field Experiences. Well, it's two years since you told us you were getting that degree "soon".
Where are you working?
Seems like the OP would, at most, be halfway through that degree at this point since they implied in their earlier post that they were researching programs....
Oh, okay... I took 'getting a degree soon' to mean something other than I am considering applying for college somewhere soon.
