I'm not sure about Math, but if you go the Comp Sci route, count on spending many, many, MANY hours on programming assignments.

"You're approaching higher education the wrong way...'
Wise words which bears repeating.
OP, figure out which subject excites you and pursue it.
If you are interetsed in both, consider majoring in one and minoring in the other.

I know people who have become software engineers with a math degree, but I have never met a computer science major who became a mathematician.
Programming classes are very, very time consuming. But rewarding as you can see the result of your blood and sweat when you run your program and it doesn't crash haha!

Software Engineering is much softer than computer science and mathamatics. So anyone from either of those degrees can go into software engineering.

That's a highly subjective question. Some people are great at programming and won't spend hours on programming assignments. If you like programming, it can be a lot of fun. And it's very interactive. Your work will actually do something you can see and watch.
If you are not interested in programming, things can, and probably will, become tough and frustrating. If you are not interested in something, it will be harder to learn and will take you longer. I can't see anybody debugging and writing a code for 7-8 hours or more if he/she is not interested in it. That will be a major frustration.
The same applies to math, of course. So you will have to figure out which one you like better.
