Hubby is graduating with his assoc. in business sciences in the spring. He's started looking at universities to go right into his bachelors degree. We can't figure out which is a better combo however. Finance with a double minor in Business Mgmt and economics or Business Mgmt with a minor in finance/accounting. In the end he's taken tons of accounting and finance classes but we can't figure out if having the actual major in finance will be a better edge in the market. Weve heard everyone gets business degrees.
He's amazing at economics\statistics also, he doesn't even hardly have to read a lot of the assignments he just skims and is still weeks ahead in his class and has always gotten perfect test scores. Our thing is how safe is a a career in economics?

So that's our dilemma any one have any input on any combos we can get out the above info that would benefit career wise long term and financially (we have a baby so money is always an issue )

He should major in what he wants to do and use his minors as a way to show he can do other things.

All things considered, a degree in finance or economics is better than a degree in business. I work in the financial services industry and it is hard to find people who really know their stuff when it comes to finance or economics. Business majors are a dime a dozen.

Undergrad in finance with a masters in economics from a decently ranked school would have employers in my industry fighting over him.
