Hi.

I am planning on transferring to UH to complete my Computer Science BS degree. UH Clear Lake is cheaper and seems like a nicer area, however I am worried that it's CS program may not be as strong as the program at UH Main. My concerns are for job opportunities - which campus offers a stronger program and thus better job opportunities?

I am not sure where I can get this information. Any information would help.

Also, are there better choices for CS degree universities in the Houston area?

Thank you

UH main if you judge by program stength. UH main CS was recently ranked as a top 50 program. But... UH Clear Lake is in a much better area. It is often in the rankings for safest campus in the nation. I was in aerospace for over a decade and I can tell you the big contractor companies and also NASA regularly hire UHCL CS and CIS students. UHCL has even created a few new technical degrees in response to the nearby aerospace community.

Rice is probably the best choice for CS in the Houston area.
