Good piece. I hope people read it and take it to heart, 'cause the author is right. It's one thing finishing Harvard, where you might be attending for very little money (thanks to wealthy parents or generous financial aid), surrounded by some of the best, most ambitious students and academics in the country, all in a lovely historic setting of a vibrant cosmopolitan city. It's something else altogether to finish school, even just two years, while you're working 20,30,40 hours a week, scraping together your our own book money, hoping your car doesn't breakdown or the subway doesn't get stuck before your finals, and maybe even having a family of your own to worry about. I salute folks who can do school under such circumstances and I wish more people would too.
