Wow, tough one. Both, obviously, are at the pinnacle of small, LAC higher ed in this country. I will go with Swarthmore only because it comes off as less stuffy, club-y, old-boy/old money than Williams. Perhaps it's S'more's strong egalitarian Quaker history.
Harvey Mudd. RPI is an undoubtedly good school, but it’s got a VERY unbalanced gender ratio (68% males 32% females per USNews, which I don’t think I’d like. Harvey Mudd is much more balanced at 51-49) and I find Troy to be rather depressing.

Johns Hopkins. It’s right up there with Harvard.
