So, I got my BS in Accounting back in 2013. I wanted to get a few years' worth of work experience to see if I like it before deciding the take the CPA exam.

if I remember correctly (last time I researched this was in 2012), I need to have 150 college credits to be able to take the exam. I currently have 126 credits. I am thinking about going to some sort of language school. I want to take Spanish Learning courses only to earn the additional 24 credits. That won't be possible in a traditional university.

So, is there a language school (online or otherwise) that will give me college credits.

Honestly your best bet will be your local community college. It will likely have online foreign language courses, but exams may have to be on campus.

National University offers online Spanish class because they offer an entire online degree in Spanish. It's not going to be cheap, though.

There are community colleges that offer online Spanish classes if you're fine with just taking lower level courses. From my search, College of Southern Nevada, Dallas County Community College District, Community College of Aurora, and Georgia State University might have online, lower level Spanish classes.

Another option would be to learn Spanish for free online or through an app and take the CLEP test for Spanish if your school will accept it.

Community colleges and some universities offer evening language classes, OP. I'm not sure why you're saying a traditional university setting won't work; maybe you didn't know they had evening classes? Or is your location not convenient to any higher ed institution?

Your plan won’t work in many states. Their State Boards of Accountancy require those additional 30 credits to be in specialized areas. Language credits generally won’t fulfill the requirements.

While 150 hours are required for licensure, many states allow you sit for the exam with less than 150.

You really need to check with your state board.
