Has anyone done this where they finished school real late in their 40's, 50's or even later and then entered the workforce as a older college graduate?

(This person was in the workforce prior but did not have a full degree).

A friend of mine went back to school and got her M.A. in TESOL in her 70s and then taught as a university adjunct overseas.

There are probably anecdotal stories about it, but in terms of people graduating and then obtaining entry-level jobs in fields where they had no prior experience, the prospects seem dim simply because they will suffer from age discrimination.
