Hello-
My Sig. other and I are planning on relocating in Co from Upstate NY. I hear the Springs area is good but Boulder may be too expensive.
Can someone recommend the best areas for a childfree couple who:
1) Are computer programmers. (1 junior, 1 mid level)
2) Are active. (Mountain biking, tennis, skiing)
3) No concerns about schools, kids, daycare etc;

Thanks!
Ken & Meigo

Either area is fine, with good schools.

Tons of biking and outdoor sports in or near both places, though perhaps an edge to Boulder where bikes are nearly a religion.

Boulder is pricier, but nearby towns like Louisville, et al, are a fine alternative. It's a college and corporate world, noted for leaning far left.

COLO SPGS is more affordable. It's a military and defense contractors world, noted for leaning far right.

Good descriptions and nice comparisons. How is the weather in those areas. We like to ski in the winter. In the northeast it is very icy on the mountains. There is not a lot of new snowfall sometimes. Are there some decent ski areas in the springs and near Boulder?
Thanks
Ken

IIRC, nearest ski to Boulder is Eldora.

None in the Springs for now, but a firm is trying to put skiing on the side of Pikes Peak, though not this season. From the Springs, many go to Monarch, about 2 hours away, and some go to Breckenridge via Hwy 9, at least 2 hours.
