Back in Virginia a number of heating and air conditioning businesses had an "insurance policy" you could buy into. Each month you were automatically charged a fee, and then 4 times a year they would come out and do a routine check of your units, clean (if necessary), repairs were included up to the amount you paid into the "policy", and if you had money in your account and needed a new furnace of AC unit, what was in your policy would be put toward the new unit.

Anyone know of anything like that out here?

Pheta,

My HVAC guy....Mike Bassett, Bassett Heating and Air, has something similar.

It's not exactly like an insurance plan, but more of a preferred customer plan. You can pay XX for the year and that includes twice yearly inspections on the AC before the summer, and the heater before the winter and some limited routine maintenance. And with the plan, you get discounts on service calls and parts.

That's all I've got.

Parkey's and the EEE furnace company both have that too.

Great advice. They came out today, did a great analysis of my HVAC systems and I got in their gold plan with lots of good advice on the side. Thanks for the recommendation!

Glad to hear it Phetaroi, Mike's a good guy and I think he's an honest businessman. Also glad to help a regular member.
