We're moving to C. Springs in June, and both of my kids need to see an ortho shortly after we arrive. We're moving to the Rockrimmon neighborhood. Our dental insurance is through the military (United Concordia). Does anybody have a great recommendation?

We're headed to Rocky Mtn Ped Dentistry soon. They aren't really NW, but I can let you know how it goes if you are interested.

Do they do orthodontia too? If not, I'm still interested in what you think, as we'll need a ped. dentist, too. Thanks!

Just my two cents worth, but if you are considering using a general dentist for orthodontics, please think it through. This may not be your intention, but after working in the dental field for over 13 years, I would only use an orthodontist for orthodontic treatment. General dentists do dabble in orthodontics, but lack a great deal of education in the area They have taken some courses in orthodontics, but not the concentrated education that orthodontists go through in the field.

Good luck

Thank you for your advice. I would only use an ortho for orthodontia as well.

For those of you looking for a pediatric dentist - they are awesome! We had a great visit yesterday!

They only handle retainers - no orthodontics, sorry ArWeDoneYet...

I like Dr. Bailey. He has an office in the Rockrimmon area as well as near the North Gate area.

I have also heard great things about Dr. Ford. He is in the Chapel Hills area.

OP: I was at my dentist yesterday for a routine cleaning and asked her advice on who was available.

She said there is no purely pediatric ortho on the west side / Rockrimmon area.

But she did say there are these choices:

- Dr. Allen Benning and Michele Matthews who practice on both adults and children. Located at 415 W. Rockrimmon, 598-7700.

- Interquest Dental has an ortho in on Wednesday who does both adults and children, 1310 United Hts Drive, I-25 exit 153, 266-5150

- There is a pediatric ortho on the east side, Dr. Joshua Erickson near Powers and Research, 282-6666, at 8580 Scarborough Drive.

Thanks! I was just looking for an ortho, not specifically a pediatric ortho, so I'll check out the ones in Rockrimmon your dentist suggested. I appreciate it.
