We are looking for 3br places in or around Manitou Springs. We're from Ohio so we don't know the area real well. Is it possible to find a place for under 1k/month? Are there any Catholic schools in that area? From what I've read Manitou is pretty expensive? We would like be within a 15 min. commute to downtown Colorado Springs. Is Woodland Park or Green Mountain Falls too far?Any suggestions? Thank you

WP and GMF are too far for a 15-minute commute to downtown.

Manitou is cramped for space, at least the business district and adjacent narrow twisty streets. Should be homes along W. Colorado Blvd in the Old Colorado City area that are reasonable and close to downtown.

Try using padmapper.com to find places.

Off the top of my head Corpus Christi would be teh closest Catholic K-8 school. Closest HS would be St. Mary's.
