I'm shocked at the poor quality of the relatively new stretch of I-25 through our city. There are multiple bumps on the road. Seems to me the contractor ought to be accountable to fix it.

I've driven the Autobahns in Germany and they are perfectly flat as they must be for cars to remain in control at 200 km/hr. It makes me jealous of their construction standards. I guess we get what we pay for when we just go for the lowest bid without setting rigorous construction standards.

I bet the road will need fixing soon.

I was out there recently and didn't notice anything wrong with it. Of course my mind was probably not on the quality of the highway either.

I believe it costs over $2500 for a drivers license in Germany, does it not? That probably at least partially explains the difference in road quality. Revenues from license fees probably supplement the road budgets.

I do agree, though. If the contractors did it wrong they should be made to fix it. Plus compensate the city for the inconvenience of having to shut down parts of the highway again.

Try driving the newly finished mesa ridge parkway, it's REALLY rough in a one ton pickup. RP
