I was just wondering if there are any neighborhoods in Colorado Springs known for mid-century modern architecture?

I have visited a couple of really well preserved midcentury neighborhoods in Denver (Arapahoe Acres, for example) - does Colorado Springs have anything like this?
The Valley Hi Community was built with MCM starting in the 50's and continuing through the 70's

I live in a midcentury modern ranch house in the central area. There are a few others in my area but most of the homes are older. There is nothing quite like Arapahoe Acres here but there are some areas of older Skyway that have a good selection of true midcentury modern architecture (not just little ranch houses built in the 50's). As well as a few pockets on top the mesa.

Here are some pics from the inside of my house:

Mahogany builtins in the living room

Bathroom

Kitchen, original floor

knotty pine basement bar

There are a couple good neighborhoods for true mid-century modern homes and then there are some spread throughout town.

I think Skyway has lots of homes like that. I went to an estate sale there a few months ago at a house that was strait out of that era. The whole street had homes similar.

It was a bit past it's prime, but still a great example of mid-century modern - it was beautiful. Look for estate sales in those neighborhoods ... it's a great way to get a peek inside.

I want your kitchen! It's beautiful.

Oh, and the bathroom, too.
