With many retirement plans, 30 is far from an arbitrary number.

I usually snag my news in bits from my Comcast main page (prior to logging into my email) or social media, the internet in general. I subscribed to the Gazette before I got my job, but working full time I have no longer an inclination to read the paper. I'm afraid I just don't have the patience for news on TV, for the most part...get annoyed with the repetitions and commercials. The internet has spoiled me ROTTON.

I saw somebody mention Dan Patrick Show...one of my favorite dear friends in the world was on that show a few months ago. Dave Brockie in his role as "Oderus Urungus" the costumed lead singer of metal band GWAR. He's a sports nut and a diehard Redskins fan. He left one of his masks behind, I've seen photos of the guys on the show playin' around with it. Dave's a great guy, always glad he's doing stuff, even if I don't care much about sports...

I'm the other way around from you. The internet annoys me and I like tv, with the aid of our DVR. Commercials are a thing of the past.

We won't be moving there for a few months, does anyone know if you can watch any of these live newscasts online?

I never much cared for any of the local news outlets here (I moved here 2 years ago), but in my viewpoint, channel 11 was the only one that stepped up to the plate during the fire, so they now have my loyalty.

I liked 11's coverage of the fire as well, but my mom hated it. Her view was that stopping all regular programming for a full week or more to cover the fire was sensationalist and spreading fear/dread unnecessarily. I guess I can see her point of view.

You can watch KKTV (channel 11) live here KKTV - Video - Live

Not sure about the other stations. I only get Denver stations where I live (don't have cable or satellite, only an old fashioned antenna), so during the fire I was watching KKTV live to get local reports.

So on Channel 5, Chucky's Bride is holding her own in the Anchor spot post Linda Lyden.

But she's got sort of a jaw/mouth thing going on.

She must drink the same energy drinks that Craig does. He's so fast, he chews other peoples' fingernails. He answers his cell phone before it rings. Faster than a cheetah on crack... fast I'm telling you.

Lacey isn't too hard on the eyes though... imo.

There's some news lady my dad watches that he says her head is shaped like Betty Boop. I rarely watch the news so I don't know whether it is ABC, CBS or NBC - but I saw her on TV when I visited their house and as soon as he said that all I could see was Betty Boop whenever she was on. ")
