Well Georgianne is retired now.

Any thoughts on her replacement?

Oh yeah. I've seen her. Guess she was in Topeka, Texas prior to that and lived in Van Nuys at one time. She's doing well. Sometimes she has the wildest hair. But she always seems to have a good voice and the perfect demeanor.

Why do some newscasters have to go outside to report and others do not? I suppose having a toupe would exept you from having to do that.

RIP Lee Douglas.

Seems like I was watching him just last night. He will be missed by his audience and Channel 5, KOAA.

I've watched Channel 5 as long as i've lived in Colorado, no reason to change.

The world's gonna be a little more sad without Lee Douglas in it.

I rarely watch local news. But with the blizzard predictions we were getting, the website of KKTV had the most specific and accurate weather forecasts.

Wow. What a tear-jerker. I'm watching Lee's protege Jordan Mason talk about his boss and mentor and having to do the sportscast with tears welling up.

Good job Jordan and keep plugging away.

Also, good to hear them talk about Lee and his friends he used to frequent Guss's Bar with and who he went to Vegas with. Seems like a neat guy and he will be missed.

Yes KOAA did a very good tribute for him. You can tell that they are all having a hard time my thoughts go to all of them.

Default Linda Lyden, Congrats and farewell

I'm glad I picked News 5 now. She's retiring after 29 years. Why just a bit short of 30? I hope they honored her retirement as 30 because it seems like she deserves it. Why would she go just short of 30?

Anyway, she'll be missed.

Why wait for 30? For most people a few months make no difference in money, etc. - might as well have the rest of your life today instead of waiting for some arbitrary number.
